Join the Civmec Team After securing a very exciting project with Rio Tinto, Civmec are currently seeking experienced Pipe Fitters on a casual basis. These positions will commence in mid-January 2026 and run through until the end of the year.
The scope of work being undertaken covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise of 7 shutdowns over a period of 12 months performing upgrades on the clients’ balance machines (2x Reclaimers, 2x Stackers and 2x Shiploaders).
Shutdown dates for 2026:
31/01 – 25/02
16/03 – 07/04
25/04 – 17/05
01/06 – 22/06
21/07 – 11/08
24/08 – 21/09
19/10 – 16/11
The Role
Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
Examine and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation and or other methods
Repair any damage to pipes by regular inspection and detect any malfunctions
Maintain accurate records of service cycles in a timely manner
Assemble new pipes and plan layout of the same pipes
Install pipe to structures
About You To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
Construction White Card
Work Safely at Heights (desirable)
Enter and Work in Confined Space (desirable)
Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
MSIC, or the ability to obtain
Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
Additional Tickets will be highly regarded
