Brief Overview The MRI Tech I is responsible for operating imaging equipment to perform procedures on a specified patient population, while exemplifying the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
What You Will Do
Perform quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods.
Assist in the development of others through guidance and teaching, promoting professional practice within the radiological services team.
Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and relevant policies and procedures.
Effectively manage resources such as supplies and equipment, planning and completing tasks efficiently and productively.
Demonstrate professional work behavior and excellent customer service in all interactions.
Education Qualifications
Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology
Experience Qualifications
No prior work experience required.
Skills And Abilities
Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association required.
Registered Radiologic Technologist – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
Supervision Provided by this Position
There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this job, except that the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate job procedures to other associates and observe & instruct student technologists.
Physical Demands
Physical activities include climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
Must maintain good balance, coordination, and visual acuity (color, depth perception, and field of vision).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally or 25 lbs frequently.
Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact; exposure to patient fluids and hazardous materials.
Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
