Our client is a mental health provider in the DFW area. Please note this position will cover a territory in the
Denton / Lewisville
area and will be expected to be in the field on a weekly basis.
The Sales Representative is a key driver of growth, responsible for increasing professional referrals and admissions while maintaining strong relationships with referral sources. Acting as the primary link between the organization, the community, and referring professionals, this role focuses on expanding awareness of services through ethical marketing, strategic outreach, and consultative engagement.
This position is supported by a comprehensive infrastructure, including:
Dedicated marketing and event coordination resources
A monthly outreach budget of $2,400
CRM tools for relationship tracking and performance reporting
Ongoing training and mentorship from a seasoned Director of Sales
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with professionals across key referral categories
Provide consistent communication, timely follow-up, and responsive service to referral partners
Actively seek feedback and ensure satisfaction with services provided
School counselors and administrators (public and private)
Outpatient therapy practices and group counseling centers
Psychiatric providers and mental health clinics
Emergency departments and inpatient psychiatric units
Pediatricians and primary care physicians
Performance Milestones Months 0–3
Complete onboarding and cross-departmental shadowing
Spend 30 days in the field with experienced team members
Build foundational knowledge of internal programs, market trends, and competitors
Establish collaborative relationships with admissions, clinical, and marketing teams
Months 3–6
Engage existing referral accounts to assess satisfaction and identify growth opportunities
Begin outreach to new referral sources, generating measurable increases in referrals and admissions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients and partners
Maintain accurate reporting and documentation
Month 6 and beyond
Conduct 20 educational meetings per week with qualified referral contacts (in-person or virtual)
Achieve consistent growth in referrals and admissions, targeting 18 admissions per month (approx. 36 referrals)
Meet departmental KPIs as outlined by leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile Preferred Attributes & Experience
Strong alignment with one of the following behavioral profiles: Persuader, Rainmaker, or Trailblazer
Demonstrated resilience, drive, and initiative
3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, psychology, healthcare, or a related field
Personal passion for behavioral health and commitment to serving youth and young adults
Proven ability to influence referral behavior through strategic communication and relationship-building
Desired Expertise
3–5+ years in sales, marketing, admissions, or account management—ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, pharmaceutical, or hospital settings
Strong record of account retention and referral growth
Skilled in full‑cycle sales, including internal coordination and client tracking
Existing relationships with referral‑rich organizations such as hospitals, physician groups, schools, and large clinical practices
