Associated Construction Engineering is a dynamic and innovative company seeking a motivated individual to join our team. We specialize in a wide range of projects, including Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, Historic, Hospitality, Mixed Use, Office, Retail, and Residential.
We are searching for a Mechanical engineer to join our expanding team. The position is entry‑level, and recent graduates who have, or are in the process of obtaining, their Engineering Intern Certificate from the state‑licensing board are encouraged to apply.
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Building design and construction experience is a plus
Team player and self‑motivated
Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
Responsibilities, in part, are outlined below Mechanical Systems
Produce detailed building load calculations
Detail mechanical system selection as well as cost of ownership
Design and coordinate mechanical building systems such as boiler and chilled water plants and associated accessories including all piping systems
Design and coordinate HVAC systems, ductwork and associated control systems
Coordinate system layouts and associated space needs with architectural clients as well as other engineering disciplines
Understanding of IMC and associated codes relevant to building design
Plumbing Systems
Produce detailed building consumption total for all domestic water systems coordinate with other engineering disciplines
Design and coordinate plumbing systems and equipment selection with architectural clients
Specify and schedule plumbing fixtures
Understanding of UPC and IPC codes
