About the role Our client is seeking a highly skilled Plant Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on plant equipment while troubleshooting mechanical and electrical processes.
Shift Schedule
1st shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Mon–Fri)
2nd shift: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (Mon–Fri)
Responsibilities
Assemble, install, align, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, inspect, and dismantle machinery and equipment.
Service prime motors, PLC, programmable controllers, shaft couplings, seals, chains, belt drive systems, gear systems, pneumatic and vacuum systems, and lubrication and cooling systems.
Requirements
High school diploma or technical school; valid electrician/millwright license.
Minimum five years of industry experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Capable of reading mechanical, electrical, and machine drawings and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
Desired Knowledge
Health and safety codes, regulations, and procedures.
Rigging, hoisting, and fitting practices.
PLC programming/troubleshooting.
Canadian Electrical Code, CSA/ASTM/ANSI codes.
Maintenance work schedule preparation and implementation.
AC/DC drives and motor generators control systems.
Pneumatics and hydraulics repair, calibration.
Arc welding and brazing.
Forklift certification.
Precision and hand tools usage.
Regular equipment upkeep.
Familiar with market products and equipment.
Safety and ISO 9001:2000 quality management system requirements.
Pay $30–$35 per hour (depending on experience).
