About The Role The DNV Energy Systems North America (ESNA) region seeks a Key Account Manager (KAM) to strengthen, expand, and foster relationships with renewable energy, power grid developers, and financiers. The KAM will manage multiple key customers, lead an account team, influence cross‑functional initiatives, and develop targeted campaigns.
What You’ll Do Strategy
Develop and own the key account strategy, creating campaigns that drive opportunities.
Optimize customer experience and business growth across BAs, BUs, and services.
Relationship Management
Build and strengthen internal and external networks; foster collaboration across business areas.
Act as conduit for key projects, ensuring high quality delivery and cross‑sector opportunities.
Maintain customer insights and market trends, using CRSI score to measure experience.
Sales Enablement
Direct project and account teams to achieve business development goals and grow the sales pipeline.
Influence pricing, resourcing, and bid quality reviews.
Contribute to building sales skills and fostering a high‑performing culture.
Commercial
Collaborate on proposals and develop a yearly Annual Operating Plan with the Sales Manager.
Review and influence pricing decisions.
Key Outputs
Monitor and improve CRSI score for key accounts.
Drive top‑line growth through order intake and external revenue.
Set and achieve pipeline and order intake targets.
Manage cash flow and follow up on customer payments.

Compensation $140,000 – $210,000 base salary, influenced by experience, skills, and location.
About You – Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong network and understanding of renewable energy, grid, and financing markets
7+ years at senior level in professional services business development
7+ years of account management experience
Excellent interpersonal and business development skills
Continuous improvement mindset with analytical reporting abilities
Proficient written and verbal English; persuasive and determined
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Willingness to travel up to 40% domestic, 2% international
Valid driver’s license with ability to rent and drive a vehicle when required
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs; carry up to 10 lbs for multi‑day travel
Pre‑employment drug and background screening will be conducted
