Role Summary As a senior sales specialist, you will service and deepen participant relationships by providing foundational retirement strategy, portfolio needs, and resolving complex situations. You will identify and qualify high‑value participants to a retirement specialist or financial consultant for enhanced personalized consultations. Your work will help participants reach long‑term financial goals through exemplary service, education, and support.
We provide dedicated paid time and resources to support a successful licensing process. T. Rowe Price offers active‑management products and services that can help you enable clients to be successful in their investment and retirement planning.
Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound participant service requests.
Respond to requests for investment, mutual fund, and account information; resolve complex account issues.
Identify and qualify participants to be referred to retirement specialists and/or financial consultants.
Demonstrate a consultative approach to gain a thorough understanding of participants’ needs and offer appropriate solutions.
Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan‑specific and general distribution options.
Deliver on defined sales targets and other role‑based responsibilities.
Understand the overall financial services industry and related legal, tax, and regulatory issues to guide clients.
Develop and maintain proficient knowledge of T. Rowe Price products and services.
Follow up with clients from inbound retention opportunities.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Series 7 and 66 licenses to be obtained within the designated window per the Global Distribution licensing policy.
Exceptional client service skills with strong communication skills.
Intellectual curiosity and interest in developing business and financial acumen.
Sound judgment, problem‑solving skills, and a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment and adapt to a variety of internal and external factors while pursuing excellence with passion and humility.
Preferred
4+ years of total relevant work experience within the financial services industry.
FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are required and will be supported. Dedicated paid time and resources are provided to assist with the licensing process.
Work Flexibility This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home, after successful completion of the training program.
Base Salary Ranges Location‑specific ranges:
Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers: $61,000 – $74,500.
Washington, D.C.: $61,000 – $74,500.
New York, California: $61,000 – $74,500.
This job is eligible for overtime pay. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience and skills. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus determined by company and individual performance.
