Overview Produce clerk in the produce department of a supermarket/grocery store. Tasks include bagging, packing, retrieving, stocking, cleaning, and general store duties.
Responsibilities
Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery
Carry customer's purchases to parking lot and pack orders in customers' vehicles
Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
Direct customers to location of articles sought
Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items
Stock shelves and display areas
Keep stock clean and in order
Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors)
Qualifications
Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate
7 months to less than 1 year experience in similar retail environment
Excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player
Civilian citizenship or eligible resident of Canada with valid work permit
Attention to detail, standing for extended periods, walking, up to 23 kg weight handling
Criminal record check required
Employment Terms
Hourly wage $18.00 per hour
Full-time, permanent employment, 35 to 40 hours per week
