Acuren is seeking certified AWS/CWI professionals with structural experience to join our team in Austin, TX or Taylor, TX area. Immediate start required. We are looking for motivated professionals who can hit the ground running and commit to a one-year project. Structural experience preferred. NDT certifications a plus.

Job Location:

Visual Inspector/CWI – Corpus Christi, TX (US‑TX‑Corpus Christi ID)

Responsibilities

At the direction of the client, perform visual and non‑destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure‑retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.

Provide technical recommendations for repair, re‑rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment as required for safe operation.

Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.

Guide application of non‑destructive examination techniques and procedures.

Fully comply with Acuren and client safety practices and participate in all site safety initiatives.

Willingness to travel if needed.

Requirements

CWI Certified Welding Inspector certification.

Structural experience.

Must be located in or near the Austin, TX area.

Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570 preferred, not required.

5 – 10 years of experience or 2+ years of onsite experience.

Additional API 653 certification a plus.

In‑depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.

Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

NDT certifications a plus.
