Responsibilities
Perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures.
Produce high-quality images with minimal repeats while applying safety measures.
Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
Explain procedures to patients and ensure their safety and comfort during exams.
Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and monitor for reactions.
Oversee duties assigned to student radiographers.
Handle telephone scheduling procedures.
Operate the PACS computer system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
Registered or registry eligible with the ARRT.
Basic Life Support certification.
Work Environment You will work in a 656-bed hospital that includes specialized centers such as The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. The hospital is open to training in specialties and other modalities, offering a great opportunity for those looking to specialize further.
