Assistant Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Underwriting Manager to lead a commercial lines underwriting team, drive profitable and disciplined growth. This fully remote role oversees underwriting operations, ensures compliance with corporate and regional guidelines, and models strong underwriting judgment across all lines of business within a local territory. The Assistant Underwriting Manager supports underwriters on complex accounts, pricing decisions, and agency strategies while clearly communicating the rationale behind recommendations. This position partners with underwriting, marketing, and branch leadership on agency planning and performance reviews, guiding underwriters and agents toward annual goals and improved profitability. Responsibilities also include managing agency relationships, developing new partnerships, addressing underperforming accounts, monitoring workload and authority levels, and coaching team performance. Qualifications
