AVI is currently seeking a Sales Manager to generate sales of aircraft parts to airline customers. The position requires airline networking, researching competitor pricing, developing suggested pricing, responding to requests for quotation and other post-quote follow-up necessary to close the sale. Strong communication skills are essential for interaction with customers and vendors. Prior experience selling to airlines and strong airline contacts are a must for the successful candidate.

Essential Job Functions

Establish and grow relationships with airlines

Meet monthly and quarterly sales goals

Receive customer inquiries and RFPs – develop and prepare responses

Provide customers with quotes and tireless follow up

Exercise negotiation skills and demonstrate quick thinking, adaptation, and creativity

Maintain relationships and contact with customers to continuously develop further business

Identify customer requirements, issues, and needs, generate a solution for those requirements, and see through to completion

Demonstrate knowledge of customer fleets, aircraft types, industry info/history, OEMs

Display a measurable track record of new customer and prospect development and a willingness to cold call

Represent the company professionally in meetings and at trade shows

Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

Create a “first-call” rapport with customers; monitor multiple communication channels including WhatsApp, email, SMS messaging

Implement a systemic approach to daily and monthly goals

Serve as AOG officer on occasional rotation

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience may be considered

High energy self-starter

Sales background to airlines

Data driven mindset with underlying skills to “know your numbers”

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Professional demeanor

Knowledge and willingness to embrace usage of our CRM

Knowledge of Quantum Controls ERP, MS Office Aps

Ability to travel 25% of time; willingness to work remotely if needed
