QMA (Nights) – Albany Health and Rehabilitation

Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for QMA's to cultivate lifelong relationships in our 102‑bed skilled nursing home and a 20‑bed Alzheimer unit. We aim to continue providing the best care to the residents of our community.

Responsibilities
Provide medication administration, daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of residents.
Administer and document oral, eye, topical, suppository, ear drop medications, and all others as ordered by the physician.
Perform treatments on minor skin conditions per physician orders.
Maintain locked medication cart and medication keys according to facility policy.
Check catheters frequently and provide catheter care as assigned by the nurse.
Document all medications and treatments in the medication record and nurse’s notes according to policy.
Maintain confidentiality of all residents and protect their rights and privacy.
Perform other duties as assigned by staff nurse or designee.
Qualifications
Certified as a CNA in good standing by the State Department of Health.
Completed a state‑approved training program in medication administration and hold current QMA certification by the State Department of Health.
Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the state of employment.
High school diploma or GED.
Seniority Level Entry level.
