Job Overview: Servers are responsible for taking & serving food & beverage orders to restaurant guests in a timely manner while ensuring to check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

Reports to: Food & Beverage Management

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take orders from restaurant guests for food or beverages

Write customers' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff

Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems

Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes and ensure to collect payments from customers using the P.O.S. system

Multi-task and display ability to recognize that the guests' interests and needs are always primary

Communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal with guests & co-workers

Complete side jobs and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have flexible schedule to work nights, holidays, weekends, and some day shifts

Previous food server experience preferably in a full-service boutique or luxury hotel environment

Prior cash-handling experience required

Must display ability to work with general computer operations, including POS software

Desire to grow within the hospitality industry is preferred

Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in other languages helpful

Must be able to multi-task and display ability to recognize that the guests' interests and needs are always primary

Must be able to respond quickly to situations at all parts of the property over varied terrain and conditions

Active Food Handling Certificate is preferred
