As we continue to grow and innovate, we are searching for a skilled Substation Physical Designer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the physical layout and detailed design of substations, integrating cutting-edge energy management and monitoring systems to enhance power grid stability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of project designs, manage multiple project execution phases, and ensure the alignment of physical layouts with technical specifications all within a collaborative environment that pushes the boundaries of conventional energy solutions. Develop detailed physical designs for high voltage substations including layout, equipment arrangement, grounding, and conduit plans Collaborate with engineers and project management teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and industry safety standards Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD or other design software Execute design revisions and updates based on review feedback and changing requirements Participate actively in project meetings and provide technical support to construction and field teams Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Perform technical calculations for load distribution, conductor sizing, and project estimations Proficient in AutoCAD and CAD software specific to electrical design Strong understanding of high voltage systems, grounding practices, and substation components Knowledge of electrical standards (IEEE, IEC, etc.) and safety regulations Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Certification in AutoCAD or similar design tools
