Electrical Design Engineer

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Design Engineer, where you will lead and innovate in the design and optimization of hardware solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and drive improvements through creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to design and optimize hardware solutions, ensuring compliance with NEC, ATEX, and IECEx standards.
  • Create and update CAD drawings and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing technical documentation and materials lists.
  • Review peer drawings for accuracy and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain bills of materials and resolve discrepancies with engineers.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions for process improvements and cost-saving designs.
  • Propose and implement creative solutions, such as custom mounting solutions and reconfigured electrical panel layouts.
  • Work independently under general supervision, with opportunities to drive improvements.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • 5+ years of working experience in electrical and mechanical design.
  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and pressure vessel drawings.
  • Familiarity with NEC, ATEX, IECEx standards preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Vocational School degree or relevant degree with 36 years of experience.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, KY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
