While experience in the waste industry is highly valued, we welcome candidates who are motivated and willing to learn! Your work week will be Monday to Friday, with 45-55 hours of work expected. You must be available to work on holidays. Starting pay is

$27-29.50/hr

with potential for annual raises and bonus opportunities! Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste. Previous waste experience is preferred but not required!

Follow route sheets and services outlined by the dispatcher for customer collection.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

Manage physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading without assistance.

Utilize hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

Provide courteous interaction with customers and perform other job-related duties as required.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: This role requires extensive physical activity, including lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds.

Work environment may involve exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. Basic safety precautions are necessary.

Employees should expect to be outdoors frequently and may encounter wet, humid environments as well as various fumes and vibrations.

Minimum Job Requirements: Possession of a valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.

Maintain a clean driving record (please prepare a copy of your MVR for the in-person interview).

Experience operating 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions is preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum of one year of relevant driving experience required.

Capacity to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
