Assembly Technician
This position involves using assembly instructions and tools to assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring correct fit and specifications. The role offers opportunities for wage increases and a sign-on bonus, along with various benefits. Responsibilities Use assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies. Verify specifications by measuring completed components. Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notify supervisor to obtain additional resources. Contribute to the team by accomplishing results as needed. Cross-train in all areas of assembly and assist in other departments as needed. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Experience with hand and power tools Proficiency in SAP or similar software Blueprint experience Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring Experience with mechanical assembly Job Type & Location This is a contract to hire position based out of Rockford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
