Packaging Operator
Packaging Operator Responsibilities: Operating and monitoring block-forming towers, HMI's, metal detectors and packaging equipment Loading packaging materials, adjusting equipment to ensure proper block size, weight and labeling Boxing, palletizing, labeling and moving finished product to staging or shipping areas Entering and closing work orders; documenting production, lot numbers and weights accurately Performing quality checks and immediately reporting food safety or quality concerns Conducting equipment setup, calibration, minor maintenance and routine sanitation of packaging equipment and work areas Recording cooler temperatures and reporting deviations as needed Training team members on packaging procedures and safety standards Assisting with shipping or other production as needed Operating forklifts Other Experience And Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior manufacturing experience preferred Basic math, computer and documentation skills Ability to walk and stand for 8-12 hours Ability to regularly lift 40-50 pounds Strong communication skills and ability to read work instructions Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in warm/cool environments (55 - 80 degrees) Forklift certification Application Instructions: E-Mail a Resume: sheboyganresumes@qpsemployment.com
