Order Entry Specialist
This role involves overseeing a specific account and processing customer orders efficiently. The position requires managing orders received through the EDI system, preparing necessary paperwork, and coordinating with the warehouse to ensure orders are processed and ready for shipment. Responsibilities: Oversee a specific account and manage customer orders. Retrieve and process orders from the EDI system. Prepare and organize necessary paperwork, including packing slips and labels. Coordinate with the warehouse to pull and prepare orders for shipment. Confirm order readiness for shipping or routing by printing bills and arranging for shipment. Handle 100-200 orders per day with accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate with customers via email (20-40 emails per day) regarding order status, inquiries, and issues. Essential Skills: Proficiency in customer service and order processing. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly for email communication. Strong order entry and order fulfillment skills. Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Experience in a logistics, transportation, or distribution setting preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work Environment: This role is based in an office setting alongside 3-5 other Customer Service Representatives. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, requiring effective communication and teamwork. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.86/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
