Ironmill Fasteners & Hardware is looking for a
motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative
to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for
engaging with contractors in the construction industry
and promoting our extensive selection of building materials, including
fasteners, foundation and framing hardware, windows & doors, siding and roofing materials, and interior/exterior construction supplies .
Your primary goal will be to
build strong relationships with contractors, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions
to keep their projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
✅
Develop New Business
– Identify and engage potential customers, including
framers, siders, roofers, and general contractors , to expand Ironmill’s presence in the market.
✅
Account Management
– Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional service, product recommendations, and regular follow-ups.
✅
On-Site Sales & Consultations
– Visit job sites to assess contractor needs, provide product demonstrations, and recommend the right materials for their projects.
✅
Sales Strategy & Execution
– Work with the sales team to
develop and execute sales strategies, promotions, and special offers
that drive revenue growth.
✅
Industry Expertise
– Stay up to date on
construction trends, materials, and competitor offerings
to position Ironmill as the go-to supplier for contractors.
✅
Negotiation & Closing
– Finalize sales agreements that align with company pricing strategies and customer expectations.
✅
Events & Networking
– Attend
trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
to generate leads and build strong industry connections.
✅
Reporting & CRM Management
– Keep accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using
CRM software .
Qualifications & Requirements
✔
Proven experience in sales, preferably in construction materials or hardware distribution .
✔ Strong knowledge of
fasteners, framing hardware, and building materials , or the ability to quickly learn.
✔
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
– ability to connect with contractors and understand their unique project needs.
✔
Track record of exceeding sales goals
and generating new business.
✔ Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to
work independently in a fast-paced environment .
✔ Strong negotiation and closing skills with a
solution-oriented approach .
✔ Comfortable with
traveling within the assigned territory
to visit job sites and customer locations.
✔ Experience using
CRM and sales management tools
to track leads and sales performance.
