Responsibilities
Oversee the enrollment and day‑to‑day administration of employee benefit programs
Manage the benefits inbox, delivering prompt and high‑quality support to employee inquiries
Facilitate bi‑weekly orientation sessions for new hires on benefits offerings
Coordinate the annual open enrollment process, including health fair logistics and employee communications
Contribute to the design and rollout of a comprehensive wellness program
Administer the complete leave of absence process from start to finish
Maintain and update benefits content within Workday, while supporting employee communications
Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations (ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, etc.), including completion of required DOL/IRS audits
Assist with preparation and data verification for annual compliance filings
Partner with vendors and external stakeholders to streamline benefits administration and resolve employee issues
Generate monthly benefits reports for insurers and audit/process invoices for HSA, FSA, transit, and related plans
Review weekly carrier data feeds, conduct audits to confirm enrollment accuracy, and investigate discrepancies
Draft and distribute COBRA notices, separation memos, and other time‑sensitive benefits documentation
Provide support to the regional Payroll/Benefits team and engage in cross‑training as part of disaster recovery planning
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR with a focus on Benefits
Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as ADP and Workday preferred
Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, Slides)
Working knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas is advantageous
Strong analytical and research abilities; highly organized and proactive
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to present effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time‑management capabilities
Payroll experience considered a plus
