Key Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for production, skilled trades, and technical roles.
Manage employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary actions in a manufacturing plant environment.
Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), and company standards.
Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans for the manufacturing workforce.
Coordinate and facilitate training programs focused on safety, compliance, and skills development for plant personnel.
Administer compensation, benefits, and workers' compensation programs specific to the manufacturing sector.
Drive initiatives for employee engagement, communication, and fostering a positive and productive plant culture.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience with labor relations, collective bargaining, and grievance resolution, particularly in unionized settings.
In-depth knowledge of employment law (e.g., FLSA, ADA, FMLA) and OSHA regulations, including experience with workers' compensation management.
Expertise in full-cycle talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention strategies for a manufacturing workforce.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of a manufacturing organization.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience managing HR in a unionized manufacturing environment, including collective bargaining.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and experience contributing to workplace safety programs.
Experience with workforce planning and scheduling optimization for multi-shift production environments.
