Diesel Mechanic

Location: China Grove, NC
Job Type: Full‑Time, Monday – Friday, Various Shifts
Pay: up to $31.75/hr
Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Trailer Mechanic to join our service center, providing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for our fleet of trailers.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in trailers.
Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on trailers.
Conduct safety inspections and prepare required documents for FMCSA, state, and local regulations.
Test equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Work effectively in varying climate conditions.
Adhere to company policies and all applicable regulations.
Requirements
Experience with safety inspections of equipment and preparation of FMCSA documents.
Ability to interpret technical manuals.
Proficiency in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
Experience testing equipment for performance and regulatory compliance.
Experience with trailer planned maintenance and repairs.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and own personal tools.
Dependable, punctual, and prepared to work in variable climates.
Preferred
Experience using Cesars Maintenance Work Order System.
Welding skills.
Experience driving yard tractors/trailers.
Prior experience on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
Sheet metal and composite panel repair expertise.
