Success Looks Like
Ramp quickly through sales onboarding and close your first deal within your first few months.
Source and close new business with Majors customers on the West Coast across any vertical with >10,000 employees or student enrollment and >250,000 residents, from initial outreach to signed contract.
Meet and ideally exceed quarterly sales targets, generating hundreds of thousands or millions in ARR.
Build and execute an outbound motion, identifying priority accounts and developing a repeatable process for engaging decision‑makers.
Establish a trusted advisor relationship by mapping Meter’s value to customers’ network, security and IT infrastructure needs.
Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to refine the ideal customer profile and go‑to‑market playbook.
Ensure long‑term customer success with smooth handoffs to Deployment Operations, Product and Customer Success.
Day‑to‑Day
Identify and qualify new high‑potential accounts in key verticals.
Book and lead discovery calls with technical and business stakeholders.
Deliver live or virtual product demos tailored to customer needs.
Collaborate with Sales Engineering on scoping complex deployments.
Maintain strong Salesforce hygiene and manage pipeline with forecasting accuracy above 90%.
Onboard, enable and leverage channel partners to win new customers and increase deal registrations.
Influence product direction by providing feedback to Product and Marketing teams.
Who You Are
10+ years of experience selling complex technical products to IT buyers at high‑growth organizations, both direct and through the channel.
In absence of networking experience, you have sold hardware, infrastructure, cloud or security and are a fast learner.
Track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets, consistently placing among top reps and earning trips to President’s Club.
Consistent pipeline generator: you book meetings and fill pipeline with qualified opportunities and leverage tech stack (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Gong, etc.).
Will do whatever it takes to win; creative and relentless.
Creates clarity out of ambiguity in an early‑stage company.
Based on the West Coast in a major metro area like San Francisco or Seattle, living close to a major airport.
