Barber DME Supply Group is seeking a tenacious and detail-oriented Senior Billing Leader to join our team. This role will focus on denial follow-up and claims resolution, doing everything possible to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered. The ideal candidate will have experience with claims processing and resolving denials, with a strong preference for individuals familiar with Tricare claims and the Brightree system. Key Responsibilities
Process and submit insurance claims for a variety of payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and commercial insurance providers. Conduct thorough follow-up on claim denials and rejections, identifying the root causes and taking corrective actions. Collaborate with payers and internal teams to resolve claim issues and secure payment. Assist with verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility as needed, and ensure claims meet payer requirements before submitting. Maintain accurate and organized records of claims, follow-ups, and resolutions in compliance with company policies and industry standards. Utilize Brightree software to manage billing workflows, track claims, and generate reports. Stay informed of the latest billing regulations and payer-specific policies, particularly those related to Tricare and DME. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient billing inquiries and concerns. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of billing experience in the healthcare or DME industry. Proven expertise in denial follow-up and resolution, with a results-driven approach. Knowledge of Tricare claims processing is highly desirable. Experience with Brightree software is a significant advantage. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding, HCPCS, and Medicare guidelines. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Competitive compensation structure based on experience. Flexibility to work as either a W2 employee or a 1099 contractor.
