Construction Inspector - Minot, ND
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support federal construction projects at Minot AFB (Minot, ND).
Base Pay Range $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Observe and investigate construction phases for compliance with schedules, specifications, and shop drawings; identify problems, recommend changes, and assess the need for contract modifications.
Perform inspections and complete daily site reports in RMS, including comments and monitoring of progress, work activities, safety issues, and subcontractor manpower.
Assist in all phases of the contract modification process, including preparation of scopes of work for RFPs, preparation of government estimates, review of contractor proposals, and preparation of contract modification documentation.
Review and analyze contractor plans and technical submittals for approval action, including progress schedules, environmental, safety and quality control programs, certifications, and shop drawings.
Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other technical issues.
Prepare partial and final payment estimates, including measurement and computation of pay item quantities, verification of materials on hand, and percentage complete of lump sum items.
Monitor scheduled progress of all construction activities and phases; advise the Resident Engineer, COR, and project team of potential slippage or delay.
Participate in RFI and submittal reviews, coordinating with designers, RE, and technical experts, and execute responses to the contractor.
Log and maintain data to assist with project management and decision-making.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Construction‑related degree preferred).
Minimum five years of applicable experience on large, complex, multi‑million‑dollar federal projects, Department of Defense, or USACE projects.
Experience using RMS 3.0 (preferred).
Experience with the three‑phase inspection process.
Experience with OSHA and USACE Safety Manual (EM‑385‑1‑1) preferred.
