Position Overview:

The Real Estate/Leasing Administrator will manage lease documentation and administration, collaborate with tenants and landlords, and protect our assets by ensuring lease compliance. Responsibilities include Landlord Maintenance, property management of Houchens‑owned properties, collection of tenant rents, CTI audits, and ensuring timely and accurate payments of monthly rent, percentage rent, and CTIs.

Core Responsibilities

Negotiate lease terms, rents, and CTI to align with company goals for both Payable and Receivable leases.

Abstract leases and amendments into Tango (lease management system) to ensure critical dates are tracked and data is correctly entered for reporting of rents, critical dates, landlord and tenant responsibilities, and critical provisions.

Audit leases and lease amendments entered into Tango.

Administer Tango to maintain data accuracy for all leased locations.

Manage landlord maintenance issues for designated Houchens Food Group territory.

Manage surplus properties and company‑owned shopping centers by leasing, maintaining properties, and collecting rental payments.

Audit and process CTIs for landlord and tenant spaces.

Resolve landlord maintenance issues promptly and communicate pertinent lease information professionally.

Develop cross‑departmental relationships to leverage synergies that increase the overall value of the company and department.

Qualifications

A degree in Business Management, Finance, Real Estate, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years in Real Estate, Lease Administration, Leasing, or a similar field.

Extensive knowledge of lease documentation and lease administration.

Experience in commercial real estate.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with landlords and tenants.

Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and time management.

Detail‑oriented, analytical, and computer literate with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; proven ability to adapt and learn new software.

Ability to multi‑task and track priorities.

Excellent internal and external customer service.
