PeaceHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full‑time, 0.90 FTE, day position.
Salary range: $41.46 – $62.22 per hour. Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

PeaceHealth has been serving Southeast Alaska since 1923. Ketchikan Medical Center is a 25‑bed critical‑access hospital with comprehensive trauma care, outpatient, and long‑term care services. PeaceHealth Medical Group provides primary and specialty care in the region.
Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care including diagnostic testing, oxygen and medication delivery, bronchial hygiene, blood gas analysis, advanced airway management, and life support.
Assess patients, monitor labs and hemodynamics, and evaluate findings from radiology reports.
Calibrate, clean, set up, and maintain all patient‑related equipment and instruments.
Participate in in‑house educational in‑services, inter‑ and intradepartmental training, and external seminars and workshops.
Engage in departmental tasks such as audits, quality assurance, statistical record keeping, patient charting, and special projects.
May serve on trauma, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and rapid response teams.
Manage ventilator and non‑invasive positive pressure ventilation (NPPV) settings with evidence‑based practice.
May be trained as a core therapist in ICU or diagnostic areas (e.g., PFT or Sleep Lab) to meet department needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Accredited 2‑year AMA‑approved Respiratory Care Program or equivalent state‑approved education.
Must pass the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist exam within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 2 years experience in acute care; minimum of 1 year experience in a pulmonary function lab preferred.
Preferred experience in ICU, Pediatrics, or Obstetrics.
PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required upon hire (or within 6 months).
ACLS required for staff conducting stress tests.
Skills
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot respiratory or pulmonary function equipment quickly and efficiently.
Ability to assess acute, critical care situations and respond decisively.
Good time‑management skills.
