Schowalter Villa is hiring part-time Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to join our assisted living team! Multiple shifts are available.
Shift Differentials:
Weekday Evening/Night: $2.00
Weekend Day: $2.75

Position Overview:
Provides assisted living residents with personal, quality care to meet their daily needs in accordance with established federal, state, and facility polices.
Essential Job Functions:
Assure residents' privacy and dignity while providing care:
Identify residents before providing care in accordance with their care plan Address residents by their name of choice when providing care
Interact with residents in a warm, personal manner and provide a calm environment:
Provide opportunities for the residents to talk and listen attentively Warmly greet residents upon admission Introduce new resident to staff and other resident as appropriate
Assure the residents are clean and comfortable at all times:
Assist the residents in daily cares as directed by Negotiated Services Agreement Assist with providing baths weekly or more often as necessary
Provide nursing care for residents within scope of training and as directed by licensed nurses:
Apply Ted hose and equipment and perform other duties as directed May be called upon to supervise exercise program Take vital signs when needed
Dining Services
Work with dining staff to order, deliver and set up room service meals as requested by residents or as directed by licensed nurses
Communicate residents' care needs with peers and supervisors:
Obtain pertinent information regarding residents' care at the start of the shift Review Negotiated Services Agreement with Assisted Living Director Promptly report changes in residents' conditions to licensed nurse
Observe and record residents' conditions and/or any incidents or accident
Record all information regarding care of residents in accordance with federal, state, and facility policies Assist in completing incident and accident forms in accordance with federal, state, and facility policies
Assist maintaining an organized and clean area for residents and co-workers:
Help to maintain a clean and organized room for residents-including light housekeeping duties Assist with changing bed linens as necessary Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment Observe all infection control policies according federal, state and facility policies
Assist in the admission process
Prepare residents' rooms for admission Assist in orientation of resident to assisted living community-locations of rooms, event, etc. Measure resident's height and weight upon admission and as required thereafter
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be sixteen (16) years of age. Must be Certified Nurse Aide in Kansas. Must be 18 years of age to operate or assist in the operation of most power-driven hoists-this includes those designed to lift and move patients.
Physical Requirements:
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
