Title - Home Loan Processor
Duration - 3+ months contract
Location - Atlanta, GA
Essential Functions: • Sort and label documents in a mortgage loan file in a paperless loan origination system. • Review mortgage loan disclosures to confirm compliance and initiate re-disclosure if applicable to ensure loan meets various regulatory requirements. • Submit requests for title reports, flood certificates, condominium questionnaires, appraisals, verifications for employment, and verifications of deposit, from third-party vendors. • Communicate expected mortgage application timelines and deadlines with third-party vendors upon ordering documents. • Initiate follow-up of orders from third-party vendors. • Review documentation such as paystubs, tax returns, credit reports, bank statements, title reports, and appraisals for accuracy and initiates corrections if needed. • Maintain contact and coordinates activities between borrowers, agents, attorneys, and Home Loan Specialists/Consultants throughout the mortgage application approval process via email and telephone. • Develop a strong understanding and keep abreast of Client and mortgage insurance company guidelines and information related to federal or state mortgage compliance. • Assist the processor with tasks during the processing of home loan applications as needed. • Submit mortgage loan files for underwriting approval and follow up with applicable parties on outstanding loan conditions. • Adverse mortgage loan applications and issue denial and loan cancellation letters, when appropriate.

Required Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • 2+ years' work experience in financial services or related field • This role is subject to SAFE ACT requirements (NMLS) • Ability to competently work in a fast-paced environment coordinating activities with internal staff, members, and third-party vendors • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Must possess good analytical and organizational skills, be detail oriented, and able to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision • Computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook • Ability to adapt to change • Complies with all policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business or related field • 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience using Client guidelines • Client Desktop underwriter experience • Knowledge of federal regulations including but not limited to: RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, FCRA, FDPA, AND REG Z • Knowledge of mortgage lending programs including FHA, VA, and various industry investor mortgages
