Shift Rotation: Monday thru Friday

7:15-4:15pm, 7:30-4:30pm, 8-5pm, 10:15-8pm Holiday and Weekend rotation- 9:00am to 3:00pm

5 weekends per year

Position Objective

The Radiological Technologist is responsible for providing high quality diagnostic imaging exams for our patients and referring providers while maintaining professional standards and demonstrating a high standard of medical ethics. This position requires the willingness to acquire additional certifications such as Mammography and Dexa as applicable to primary location.

Essential Responsibilities

X-Ray Service Delivery

Position patient and imaging equipment accurately Practice ALARA Utilize correct lead markers for laterality Evaluate images for technical quality Send images to PACS Equipment and Inventory Responsibility

Perform quality control as needed Control Inventory Quality Control Duties as Assigned (Applicable to primary location)

Acquire pervious mammogram films for comparison Perform or delegate the assigned QC tests accurately, and in a timely manner Maintain records and equipment required by FDA and MQSA Analyze the results of QC activities promptly, initiate corrective action when necessary Utilize the medical physicist and radiologist in evaluating specific QC results and QC program Mammography & Dexa Service Delivery (AClinic)

Acquire previous mammogram films for comparison Ability to obtain appropriate additional views/images as needed Assure for quality mammography images Maintain records acquired by MDH Measure patients' bone mass to determine bone health, especially for the purpose of diagnosing osteoporosis and other bone diseases Retrieve previous exam Measure patient's height and weight, record in scanner Print and archive scans to PACs system Other Responsibilities

Initiate basic life support when necessary Provide patient education Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department Foster respectful working relationships with professional colleagues, patients, families, and general public regardless of age, gender, lifestyle, culture, beliefs, race, socioeconomic class, or ability Required Qualifications

Completion of a recognized formal training program by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists ARRT Registration within six months of graduation Preferred Qualifications

Previous healthcare experience Dexa Certification Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in mammography Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong skill in Microsoft Office General computer knowledge Deliver an exceptional care experience for patients Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff Ability to utilize EMR and RIS Ability to work at various sites (Alex clinic, Osakis clinic, Heartland Orthopedic Specialists) as needed Know and follow established mammography quality control policies and procedures Skill in order to perform EKGs as applicable to primary location Utilize critical thinking skills when positioning medication Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with co-workers Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
