Job Description Job Description Description: Job Summary: The Personal Care Worker (PCW) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides authorized personal care and household support services in the client’s residence in accordance with the client’s service plan and under the supervision of qualified agency staff. Services are delivered in a manner that supports client choice, independence, safety, and compliance with state and program requirements, enabling clients to remain in their homes and communities. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direct personal care or homemaker services to clients. Provide Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal communications with client, caregivers, and employees. Complete training to include elder abuse and neglect signs, HIPAA, blood-borne pathogens, emergency response, communication/behavioral management, and professional boundaries, first aid, infection control, safety, and consumer rights. Notification to Supervisor or Nurse of any changes in client’s condition, hospitalizations, or incidences of concern. Duties for personal care may include but not be limited to: medication reminding, blood pressure, bathing assistance, skin, hair, mouth care, dressing, feeding, ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, bladder and bowel care, respiratory care, accompanying, protective oversight, first aid, universal precautions, infection control, hand washing, etc. Duties for housekeeping if assigned may include but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and grocery shopping tasks. Ensures that documentation is completed in accordance with Agency policy. Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures, federal, state, and local laws. Aids in administrating medications that are ordinarily self-administered under the guidance of the supervising nurse Takes accurate vital signs. Describes the activities of daily living and demonstrates the ability to use techniques to assist clients to meet daily activities. Notifies appropriate licensed staff when clients complain of pain. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality. Any additional assigned duties Requirements: Professional Requirements: Adheres to Envida dress code; appearance is neat and clean. Adheres to legal practice standards, including applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Completes annual education requirements. Always maintains confidentiality in all business records. Demonstrates effective time management and organizational skills. Participates in the organization’s performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization. Foster a growth oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Regulatory Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Certified Nurses Aid (Preferred) CPR Certification, preferred. Able to pass a background check. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. A valid current driver’s license and valid automobile insurance are required. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Skills: Be a strong leader with a solid work ethic and ability to collaborate and coordinate with all team members.
