The Senior Product Manager (SPM) will act as a Lead Product Owner, responsible for both defining the strategic direction of a major product area and executing the product lifecycle for the most complex features. This role is highly hands-on, requiring the SPM to directly write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage releases for a significant portion of the roadmap, while simultaneously co‑leading two Product Managers and standardizing team processes. The SPM is the ultimate owner of product quality and timely delivery.

Description Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas
Direct Execution:
Own the full product lifecycle (discovery, definition, delivery, analysis) for 50‑70% of the active roadmap, specifically focusing on cross‑functional or high‑risk initiatives.
Sprint Execution:
Support the business in backlog grooming, story refinement, and sprint planning.
Team Enablement:
Provide direct, ongoing co‑coaching to two PMs, performing detailed reviews of their user stories, documentation, and sprint deliverables to ensure high quality and consistency.
Process Leadership:
Establish, document, and enforce the product management methodologies, serving as the expert on Jira management, release process, and documentation standards.
Technical Interface:
Serve as one of the primary product interfaces with Engineering Leadership, defining technical requirements, managing dependencies, and making crucial trade‑off decisions.
Release Management:
Directly manage the release schedule, communication, and quality assurance for major product updates.
Cross‑Functional Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on product vision and delivery.
User Feedback & Analysis:
Assist in gathering, synthesizing, and prioritizing customer feedback and usage data.
Qualifications
5+ years of Product Management experience in a hands‑on SaaS environment.
Proven ability to write clear, technically detailed user stories and manage complex backlogs independently.
Experience with direct release management and coordinating launch activities across multiple departments.
Demonstrated ability to mentor or coach junior team members, providing concrete feedback on product artifacts.
Deep knowledge of technical requirements gathering and working closely with engineering teams on architectural considerations.
