Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this position, you will assist clients with their daily living needs, provide compassionate care, and generally increase their quality of life. Responsibilities may include monitoring vital signs, assisting with hygiene needs, and communicating with nurses and family members. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their clients.
Responsibilities

Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
Provide adjunct patient care
Monitor food intake
Monitor vital signs
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
First aid and CPR-certified
TB Test
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work with limited supervision
Compassionate, respectful, ethical
Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

A family-owned business, 2nd Family began from personal experience in searching for senior home care in Philadelphia for our own loved ones. Mary, lovingly known as “Grams,” (Emily’s grandmother) suffered from Alzheimer’s for over 6 years. We sadly watched our larger-than life “Grams” slip away. She went from a kitchen commander, making hand-made pasta for every holiday, a passionate Eagles & Phillies fan to someone who didn’t recognize her own daughter. We were so confused and knew little about how to help. Our family struggled emotionally and strategically in trying to care for her at home as her symptoms worsened over time. We discovered first-hand the huge void between the level of care available and the level of care that we wanted for “Grams”
