Overview
The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing, technical sales role responsible for supporting the growth of our clients' Building Automation business. This position works closely with consulting engineers, architects and contractors to develop, estimate, and support automation solutions that improve building performance, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, facility managers, consulting engineers, and contractors Support both owner-direct and plan-and-spec sales opportunities Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to support system design and cost estimating Assist with proposal development, presentations, and customer meetings Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure smooth project handoffs Solutions and Services Supported
Building automation and control systems Controls retrofits and system upgrades Energy management and optimization solutions Analytics, monitoring, and performance tools Long-term service and support offerings Qualifications and Experience
Mechanical or electrical engineering background preferred, or equivalent BAS/controls experience Working knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation technologies Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Compensation and Work Environment
Competitive base salary plus commission Car allowance Local travel within the Seattle region Combination of office, customer-facing, and jobsite responsibilities
