Position Summary The Group Sales Manager is responsible for selling and coordinating

small group room blocks, corporate groups with guestrooms ,

non-wedding social, and mid-week catering events without guestrooms . This role supports the hotel’s overall group and catering strategy by managing assigned accounts, responding to inquiries, and collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure a seamless client experience from inquiry through contract execution.

Sell and manage small to mid-size group room blocks, including small corporate programs with guestrooms

Handle assigned group and catering inquiries, including lead qualification, proposal preparation, and contract execution

Sell and manage

mid-week catering events without guestrooms

and

social events not related to weddings

Conduct site inspections and maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the sales process

Accurately document all sales activities, client details, and booking information in

Delphi

and

CVENT

Utilize

Social Tables ,

Cendyn , and

Microsoft Office tools

to support event planning and internal coordination

Collaborate with Director of Sales, Revenue Management, Event Services, Culinary, and Operations to ensure alignment on event details and guest expectations

Participate in weekly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and internal coordination meetings

Provide on-site support for events, site tours, and client meetings as required

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience

in a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment

Prior experience in hotel sales, convention services, catering and events, or hospitality sales

Experience with

Delphi and CVENT

is strongly preferred; willingness to learn and achieve proficiency required

Working knowledge of

Social Tables

and

Cendyn

preferred

Proficiency in

Microsoft Office

(Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Professional communication skills and a guest-focused approach

This is an

on-property, in-office position

Evening and weekend availability is required based on business needs, including site tours and events

Work is performed in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site tours and events

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
