We are seeking a Sitework Estimator, you'll work as a key member of our estimating team to develop civil construction projects. You'll collaborate with our project teams to create detailed, accurate estimates while building strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost estimates for sitework projects
Procure bid opportunities & relationships
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
Break down projects into detailed work packages for accurate costing
Price labor, materials, and subcontractor scopes
Manage multiple bids at different stages while meeting strict deadlines
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Evaluate project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies
Support value engineering efforts to optimize costs while maintaining quality
Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant construction experience, including proven success in sitework with grading, excavation, paving, site concrete, erosion control systems, and underground utilities (storm, sewer, and water)
Strong technical knowledge of earthwork, site grading, drainage, erosion control systems, paving, utility and site concrete
Proficiency in Takeoff software (Trimble or similar platforms) and Excel
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Civil construction drawings and specifications
Experience managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience specifically in civil construction estimating
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification
Experience with Bluebeam and construction estimating software
Knowledge of Delaware construction market
Background in civil construction field operations
