Site Civil Engineer-in-Training - Land Development
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr

Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Support engineering design for commercial, residential, and institutional land development projects.
Perform site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion/sediment control calculations.
Prepare construction documents, plans, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Assist with local, state, and federal permitting processes (MDE, SHA, county‑level agencies).
Conduct site visits and prepare field observation and construction administration reports associated with site development.
Collaborate with team members to prepare project schedules and cost estimates.
Preferred
Previous internship or work experience in civil/site design or land development.
Familiarity with stormwater management and software such as HydroCAD or Civil3D.
Exposure to local permitting agencies or review processes in Maryland or the Mid‑Atlantic region.
Qualifications
0–2 years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
General knowledge of design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.
Education and/or Work Experience Preferred Previous internships or work experience in the engineering field.
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to maintain required certifications.
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
Pre‑employment drug screening and background check as conditions of employment.
