Position Overview As a Smart Home Consultant, you are a sales solutions expert and brand ambassador for ADT’s 6 million customers. Your role is to answer inquiries, provide technical advice, demonstrate new products, install and activate security and Smart Home products, and upsell solutions that best meet the needs of residential customers.
Day in the Life
Build relationships with customers and promote the ADT brand and product portfolio
Conduct in‑home consultations and assessments
Install and activate equipment including security cameras, hardware, and IoT smart‑home devices
Onboard customers and educate them on key products and services
Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment visiting customers at homes or businesses
Training Program ADT offers a comprehensive paid training program for all levels of experience, including a three‑week process with New Technician Training, Field Safety Training, and Peer‑to‑Peer Training. An additional weekly training bonus of $320 is provided during this period.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Benefits and Compensation
Base hourly salary: $17.00
Earnings potential: average $105,000 annually with uncapped commissions, job completion pay, quality bonuses, and referral incentives
Comprehensive paid training program
