Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in designing innovative packaging and material handling equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain real-world skills in a dynamic and rapidly growing environment.
Responsibilities
Design and develop conveyor systems and machine designs.
Create detailed mechanical designs using Solidworks.
Work on 2D drafting and 3D design projects.
Develop and interpret shop and fabrication drawings.
Handle Bill of Materials (BOMs) for various projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design solutions.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Proficiency in Solidworks is ideal but not mandatory.
Experience in 2D drafting 3D design.
Experience with large systems and shop/fabrication drawings.
Strong academic record with a GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with packaging and material handling equipment.
Background in conveyor systems and large system designs.
Preferred educational background from University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University (Fort Collins), or the University of Denver.
Candidates from top 5 engineering schools are encouraged to apply.
Work Environment Our work environment is vibrant and offers extensive training on all necessary skills. The company is in a phase of rapid growth, moving into a brand-new facility soon. Initial work may be conducted out of a temporary trailer. Permanent roles offer potential overtime opportunities and discretionary profit sharing. No vacation days are available while on contract, but holiday benefits are provided.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.
Pay & Benefits Pay range: $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
