Responsibilities
Perform inspection and repairs on rotating equipment including gearboxes, motors, compressors, pumps, steam turbines, blowers, and fans.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks for rotating equipment including gearboxes, motors, compressors, pumps, steam turbines, blowers, and fans.
Perform annual mechanical integrity inspections on steam turbine emergency/overspeed trip mechanisms.
Troubleshoot rotating equipment with excessive vibration, seal leaks, and performance issues.
Read machinery and mechanical seal blueprints.
Operate shop turret lathe and horizontal milling machines.
Maintain and record documentation for rotating equipment inspection and repairs and mechanical integrity tasks.
Responsible for emergency callouts and weekly on-call duty.
Required Qualifications
5+ years craft experience in the Petrochemical/refining industry is required.
3+ years shop experience with pump or rotating equipment repair
2+ years Manual Machinist experience, horizontal lathe and milling machine, key seater preferred.
High school diploma is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Possession of a Millwright, Industrial Millwright or Machinist NCCER certificate or technical certificate
Ability to interact with other craft disciplines to complete daily assignments.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Good communication skills, verbal and written.
