Overview
Serenity Peer Recovery Specialist (Full Time) The Serenity Center is a Peer-run recovery support center designed to assist individuals in navigating their personal recovery journey. Greet clients with unconditional positive regard and develop a trusting working alliance. Evaluate client needs and contribute to the development of a person-centered recovery plan. Assist clients to access a wide array of resources, including but not limited to: food, clothing, personal hygiene products, survival items; behavioral health resources; recovery resources; emergency shelter resources; benefits and entitlements; applications for SSI/SSDI/TDI, etc.; housing resources, including applications for apartments, subsidized housing, universal wait list, etc.; education/employment resources; family supports; medical providers; and resolution of legal barriers. Conduct care coordination with other providers. Willing to run recovery groups, including those intended for individuals belonging to specialty populations: women, LGBTQ+, veterans, BIPOC, and formerly incarcerated. Leverage personal experience to teach and role model healthy living, and effective coping techniques and self-help strategies. If not already trained, must attend the Certification Peer Recovery Specialist training. Must be willing to work some late-day, evening hours, and occasional weekend hours. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory.

Certification Peer Recovery Specialist training (if not already trained). Willingness to work some late-day, evening hours, and occasional weekend hours. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory.
