Construction Inspector
Join our Water US, Construction Management Division as our new Construction Inspector and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Job Description As our new Construction Inspector, you will provide clerical and administrative support and may be required to report to construction sites to assist senior staff members with day‑to‑day construction functions. In addition, you will perform inspection oversight on projects of various complexity.
Responsibilities
Inspect construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
Identify unforeseen conditions and communicate them to senior supervising staff.
Maintain accurate field notes, daily reports, and track schedule progress.
Perform basic estimating.
Acquire field information to aid in project design.
Provide supervision to less experienced staff.
Qualifications
High School diploma.
Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, permits, shop drawings, submittals, utilities, and related information.
A strong desire to increase construction knowledge through training.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and project management software.
Ability to work effectively in teams.
Additional Skills & Certifications
Special Inspection Certifications.
Municipal or state agency experience.
Strong understanding of general safety requirements.
Competency in one or more of: concrete, structural steel, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.
