WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

As a senior CRE relationship manager you will build and maintain a profitable loan portfolio, promoting bank products and services, identifying solutions to client needs, obtaining referrals, and maintaining an active calling program. You will work closely with internal partners and maintain strong relationships that support the bank’s growth objectives.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Identify, develop, and build profitable relationships with prospects and clients, ensuring credit quality standards are maintained.

Support cross‑departmental teams to provide client and prospect solutions and represent the bank at community events.

Manage a portfolio of relationships, monitoring credit quality, renewals, and policy adherence, and resolve issues with appropriate stakeholders.

Collaborate with regional, credit, and administrative managers to negotiate, structure, and underwrite credit transactions, monitoring documentation and closing loans.

Expand the portfolio and grow revenue through proactive calls and financial needs analysis.

Collaborate with CNB product experts to achieve cross‑sell goals and strengthen client relationships.

Establish a referral network with lawyers, accountants, brokers, and other industry experts.

Maintain a deep understanding of the commercial real estate industry and market conditions to support customer calling efforts.

Prepare portfolio and credit reports for senior management.

Represent the bank in civic and community affairs and industry organizations.

Serve, when required, as a product specialist for other business units.

Ensure full compliance with operational, credit, and regulatory policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act, KYC, CRA, Fair Lending Practices, and the Code of Conduct.

Complete all mandatory training programs.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Minimum of 10 years commercial real‑estate lending experience.

Minimum of 5 years financial and income‑tax analysis experience.

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree with coursework in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, and real‑estate lending experience.

Strong understanding of products and services applicable to the target client segment.

Superior knowledge of commercial real‑estate finance, appraisal, credit policies, and bank operations procedures.

Excellent client‑servicing, sales, credit‑analysis, and accounting skills.

Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound business judgment.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

High creativity and independence in managing a large, diverse portfolio.

Acts as a consultant to clients and a resource to the bank to develop and retain business.

Compensation Starting base salary: $122,535 – $208,715 per year. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
