To be eligible at the GS-7 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience. Specialized Experience:

At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in Federal service. Examples include: organizing case information and preparing discovery productions (scanning and coding documents and creating CDs); assisting attorneys in preparing for court (preparing exhibits, compiling trial notebooks and witness/exhibit lists); verifying citations; assisting in using technology to organize digital evidence; and preparing, drafting and editing a variety of legal and trial-related documents. Education:

Successful completion of one (1) full year of progressively higher level graduate education in a related field (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Law) leading to a Master\'s degree, or a bachelor\'s degree with superior academic achievement. Superior academic achievement includes: ranking in the upper third of your graduating class or major subdivision, or membership in national scholastic honor societies; OR an acceptable Grade Point Average (GPA) as specified: 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or 3.5 or higher based on required courses in the major field during the final 2 years of study. Combining Education and Experience:

Combinations of graduate education and experience may be used to meet 100% of the requirements. Calculate percentages as described: graduate hours ÷ 18, months of qualifying experience ÷ 12, then add the percentages. The sum must equal at least 100%. GS-9 Qualifications

Specialized Experience:

One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level. Examples include: managing case information through automated means (scanning, indexing, organizing documents in a database); assisting with management of incoming/outgoing document discovery using e-Discovery or similar systems; assisting attorneys with trial preparation; and using office automation tools to create physical and digital trial presentations. Education:

One of the following in a related field (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Law): a Master\'s or equivalent graduate degree (e.g., LL.B. or J.D., if related); OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Combining Education and Experience:

Combinations of graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. GS-11 Qualifications

Specialized Experience:

One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level, including: (1) working in a legal environment providing technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation requirements and system capabilities; (2) organizing and managing complex discovery; (3) assisting attorneys with trial preparation and presentation; (4) analyzing litigation support requirements to develop strategies; (5) using automated litigation support technology (e.g., Trial Director, OnCue, Everlaw, Relativity) to organize voluminous case information and prepare trial presentations; (6) diagnosing and resolving litigation support computer system problems. Education:

One of the following in a related field: a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. Combining Education and Experience:
