Classified Systems Administrator (Linux)

Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support classified Linux-based systems in accordance with DoD and organizational security requirements
Install, configure, deploy, and manage enterprise applications, including:
IBM DOORS
GitLab
TeamWorkCloud
Windchill
Confluence
Jira
Creo
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting for Linux environments:
Support system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance (STIGs, RMF, audit readiness)
Coordinate with cybersecurity, engineering, and system owner teams to ensure systems are operating securely and efficiently
Maintain system documentation, configuration baselines, and operational procedures
Support backup, recovery, and continuity of operations efforts
Provide technical support and issue resolution in a classified setting
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments as required
Required Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)
Strong experience administering Linux systems in classified or secure environments
Demonstrated experience managing and deploying enterprise applications such as:
IBM DOORS
GitLab
TeamWorkCloud
Windchill
Confluence
Jira
Creo
Experience With The Following Operating Systems
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 8, and 9
Ubuntu
Oracle Linux
Familiarity with system security best practices and compliance requirements
Ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting engineering or PLM environments
Familiarity with DevSecOps or CI/CD pipelines in classified environments
Knowledge of DoD security frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs)
Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar)
Work Environment
On-site support in a classified facility
Work performed in accordance with security and access control requirements
