Field Supervisor/Foreman (Commercial Drywall)

Drywall Foreman Summary/Objective The Commercial Drywall Foreman
will lead our team of drywall professionals on commercial construction projects. The role requires experience in all components of drywall installation including but not limited to metal stud framing, metal and wood blocking installation, drywall hanging, drywall finishing, acoustical ceiling installs, commercial door/frame/hardware installation and overseeing large-scale commercial projects. This position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of commercial construction processes and safety standards. Primary Job Responsibilities Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. An experienced leader, understanding job specific work scopes with the application and preparing for framing drywall partitions and ceilings, hanging drywall, drywall finishing, installation of acoustical grid and tile systems, installation of doors, frames, and hardware. Must be able to conduct the day-to-day coordination of job specific schedules and productions as well as attending required job specific meetings and interface with General Contractors. Have the experience and ability to create and manage a productive crew, equipment management, coordination of stocking and management of all drywall materials. Ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and to quality standards. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Managing a safe work environment as outlined by the company safety department as well as job specific safety policies and procedures. Other Responsibilities Assist in training apprentices and laborers as needed. Contribute to project planning and material ordering discussions. Perform punch list work and final installations as directed. Other duties assigned by supervisors or project managers. Competencies, Skills, Abilities, Qualifications Proficient in commercial framing and drywall installation methods. Strong blueprint interpretation and measurement skills. Ability to work independently and within the Project Team setting. Knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and job site safety. Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet schedules and deadlines under pressure. Supervisory Responsibility Understand Safety and Security protocols as established for specific projects. Quality Control of all products installed. Brief the crew daily for safety and production expectations. Working Conditions This role operates primarily on active construction sites. Conditions may include: Exposure to varying weather conditions including extreme temperatures. Uneven terrain, elevated surfaces, or confined spaces. Loud environments with dust and airborne particles. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Use of hands and arms to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and tools. Frequently lift or move materials up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds. Climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights as needed. Visual acuity to read plans, measure materials, and check alignment. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work vary from job site to job site based on the contractor's schedule. Evening and weekend work may be required based on project needs. Travel
Travel is typically local to assigned job sites in the DMV area. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have at least 5 years' experience of drywall crew supervision. Must hold a valid Driver's License Possess or have ability to obtain OSHA30 certification. Having knowledge & experience with operating a smartphone/tablet for timecards. Have experience operating PlanGrid & ProCore Applications. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to get a background check and drug test. Work Authorization Must be eligible to work in the United States.
