Base Pay Range $30.00 / yr - $33.00 / yr

Designer I Manually and electronically designs and drafts detailed drawings, such as wiring diagrams and layout drawings for construction projects. Evaluates design work and supporting documents to verify conformance to industry codes and customer specific specifications and standards. Reviews scope of work and performs field assessments, provides all engineering calculations, performs fuse coordination, and calculates the required spacing for number of phases and equipment. Maintains QA / QC processes and requirements.
Responsibilities Design and draft detailed drawings, assess field work, perform engineering calculations, and ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution design principles in both overhead and underground applications.
2+ years of AutoCAD or GIS experience in electrical distribution design.
Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and standards.
Ability to learn and implement customer‑specific design and operating standards.
Ability to plan and schedule work independently to complete designs for large and/or complex systems.
Strong math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, required for complex calculations.
2+ years of experience in electrical design.
Field experience preferred.
Telecom experience preferred.
Experience with GIS, Maximo, BOUD, G Tech, and WorkPro a plus.
