This is a
Contract to Hire
position. Hours: 55 hours per week initially through the first quarter of 2026 due to high workload demands; thereafter 40-45 hours per week.
Designers have the option to work more hours if desired, and have the flexibility to work Saturdays if it fits their schedule better. Start time no later than 8 AM, with a flexible schedule option available.
Pay range: $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
Responsibilities
Utilize SolidWorks software to complete designs from start to finish, including creating 3D models and 2D prints for manufacturing.
Use Product Data Management (PDM) for document management and file saving.
Select appropriate mechanical parts for projects, such as bolt or cylinder sizes.
Use JBA as a search tool for job reference and print or review job requirements for specific design needs.
Manage workload based on project due dates and schedule progress meetings with sales, controls engineers, and tool makers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Tooling Design and SolidWorks.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).At least 2 years of experience in designing automated tooling, gages, check fixtures, weld fixtures, robotic projects, and assembly stations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with the automotive field and document management software.
Experience with automated machine design.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
